Last year I treated myself to a bath bomb for the first time ever. I’m not really a fan of baths, however, like everyone else, love the idea of bath bombs and treating myself every once in a while. Baths never fail to make me feel like I’m going to pass out and I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting my money or the precious bath bombs, but I put that feeling aside and decided to dive in!
Treat Yourself: Khaleesi Edition
I found Pearl Bath Bombs in my Facebook ads and after some browsing and review reading, I thought I’d give it a shot. The Mother of Dragons bathbomb is inspired by Daenerys Targaryen: First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons herself. The Khaleesi bath bombs run for $24.99 for a single and $59.99 for a pack of three. Pearl Bath Bombs describes the scent as rosewood, bergamot, and lemongrass and the color of the bath bomb itself is a beautiful blue with pale green swirls.
If you know me well, you know I am pretty sensitive to scents, so I was a little apprehensive about how strong the scent would be, but it was very delicate and faded nicely as the bath went on. I love citrusy scents and this was the perfect amount of floral and lemon citrus. Even with the amazing scent, my favorite part was my bath water becoming 90’s anime water. I’ll take passing out if I can feel like Kagome from Inuyasha. While not as opaque as some Lush bathbombs, my bath was a nice teal shade once the bath bomb completely disolved.
At the end of the bath, my skin was left soft and moisturized, so what more could I want?
Maybe a Khaleesi ring…
One of Pearl Bath Bomb’s selling points is that each bath bomb (or any of their products for that matter) have a ring inside of them. The ring is inside of a plastic ball similar to a plastic Easter egg to keep it from being messed up once the bath bomb disolves in water. Each ring is valued up to $5000 and regardless of the ring inside, you also get a code to earn points and potentially get a second ring. The ring included in the Mother of Dragons bath bomb is a replica of the wedding ring Dany receives from Khal Drogo. Apparently the ring sizes range from 5-9, but when I ordered mine I didn’t see the option to select a size…so mine is a size 9 and fits loosely on my thumb. The site does say that the rings are adjustable, but I would be careful not to bend the ring too much.
I made sure to turn on some of my favorite music and have a few Ferraro rocher, so overall I had a really good time. I have gotten compliments on the ring, but my only complaint is the sizing and looking at the website again, I see that I must have left the sizing option on ‘suprise me.’ Pearl Bath Bombs also sells candles and soaps which also have rings at the center. I plan on trying out their Pokebomb for my next “me day”, but I’d love to hear about some of your favorite bath bombs!
