Today was the first day that my husband and I had off together and what did we decide to do? Go out and play Pokemon GO of course! We recently moved to a pretty small town and I assumed we wouldn’t really be able to participate. Disney alone has more to experience in the world of Pokemon GO, and it’s not even an actual city, so I wasn’t so sure we’d get much use out of it. Driving downtown showed me otherwise! We have so many PokeStops and gyms all within in a few blocks.
We parked at the local museum and made our way down one side of downtown, over to the neighboring community college, and back. The local library is a PokeStop, so we sat in the a/c and set up a lure. We didn’t get a ton of rare Pokemon, but we caught so many Pidgey and Rattata so leveling them up won’t be difficult.
We’d gone out once before in a test run and learned quickly that we definitely needed to bring back up batteries. This time we both charged up our externals and I made sure to bring some snacks. Next time, I’m going to pack some waters too. My travel battery is the Cheero Plus DANBOARD battery. On a full charge it will recharge my iPhone 6 five times!
Overall, the day was a success. I caught a Vaporeon in under two tries (hubs tried two separate times, but his game crashed both times) and we walked over three miles. I’m really happy that I was wrong about being able to play in a rural area and I love that I can be the very best, just like I’ve wanted to for most of my life.
Are amy of you playing Pokemon GO? I’d love to hear some of your game tips!
